Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a warehouse associate to support receiving, storing, and distributing items across multiple sites. You will verify deliveries, process paperwork, and maintain inventory records.

The role requires operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. Responsibilities include pulling items for delivery, packing, loading vehicles, and data entry into the system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Prior related experience, preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry material in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and/or reach for extended periods of time.
• Ability to understand simple mathematics and inventory flow.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions received through written orders, electronic display and/or audio device.

Responsibilities

• Performs receiving duties including verifying accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders and inspecting items for damage.
• Completes paperwork and enters information into department computer system.
• Unloads and unpacks items from delivery vehicle and stores them in the correct location.
• Fulfills pick-list requests and prepares/packs items for delivery using proper packing materials.
• Loads items onto delivery vehicle and completes related paperwork.
• Operates motorized equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, reach trucks) as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment according to policies.
