Job summary

GEMCORE, a healthcare distribution company operating in West Jordan, UT, is seeking a Warehouse Associate for its newly opening distribution center. This full-time role manages shipping, receiving, order fulfillment and facility maintenance. Workdays are Monday–Friday, 9:15 a.m.

to 6:00 p.m. A $500 signing bonus is offered to qualified candidates. Responsibilities include cycle counts, audits, scanning serials, loading outbound trucks, picking and packing, put aways, and inventory replenishment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a distribution environment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts for GEMCO/Edwards/3PL accounts.
• Perform short-dated product audits.
• Perform empty bin location audits.
• Scan inbound serial numbers.
• Load outbound trucks.
• Assist with picking/wrapping/loading/scheduling LTL orders.
• Unload delivery trucks.
• Perform put aways.
• Move product from overflow to a forward pick location for inventory replenishment.

GEMCO Medical, a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 15,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for Warehouse Associates whose function includes shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and facility maintenance services. Our West Jordan, UT distribution center is newly opening facility this fall.

• The warehouse is fully air conditioned in summer, heated in the winter.
• Clean environment: not dusty, dark, or dirty.
• No protective clothing required. Dress code is comfortable clothing (sneakers, t-shirts, jeans, etc. all acceptable)
• Full-time schedule available is Monday through Friday; 9:15 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Core Competencies

• MS Outlook / Excel proficiency
• Above average math, computer and verbal skills
• Ability to give direction and provide training.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a distribution environment.
• Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Protected freight shipping requirements a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
