GEMCORE is seeking a dynamic and strategic Distribution Center Manager to lead our new distribution center location in Salt Lake City. This is a critical role for a results‑oriented leader with an attention for detail and ability to motivate. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high‑performing distribution center teams and a deep understanding of the warehousing landscape. This individual will be responsible for building upon our established program but in a new location, creating the culture, processes, and strategy of the new distribution center location in Salt Lake City.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of a team of warehouse associates that receive, store, pack and ship healthcare products and medical supplies to required destinations.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to all department personnel.
• Carry out manager responsibilities to include recruiting, interview, orient, train, evaluate, appraise, and develop warehouse personnel.
• Manage all shipping and production activities using best practices and established standards.
• Train and acclimate new hires on warehouse procedures and methods.
• Establish performance standards and standard operating procedures.
• Determine the best way to transport all packages and truckload shipments.
• Help maintain equipment to be fully functional and safe in operation.
• Secure company assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to give direction and provide training.
• Good motivator and team builder.
• At least 5 years’ experience with 3 years in a leadership role in a distribution environment.
• Above average math, computer, and verbal skills.
• Ability to lift at minimum 75 pounds.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Protected freight shipping requirements is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements is helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
