Job summary

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., seeks a Dispatch Supervisor to lead drivers and material handlers, ensure DOT compliance, and manage daily dispatch activities.

You will coordinate safety programs, training, and process improvements while maintaining strong communication with CSR, Sales, and customers. Responsibilities include overseeing paperwork, route assignments, and fleet maintenance, plus acting as a backup driver when needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience supervising drivers and material handlers.
• Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
• Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
• Good memory and scanning abilities.
• Good communication and math skills.
• Able to lift up to 80lbs.
• Able to learn to use a forklift.
• Requires valid drivers license and good driving record.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
• Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
• Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
• Assists with process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts regular meetings to ensure personnel are informed of policies and procedures and enforces productivity standards.
• Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
• Ensures drivers complete all required daily paperwork (hours log, pre-trip, DVIR, mileage, fuel, prompt submission).
• Dispatch: assigns product to be pulled, routes paperwork, ensures on-time returns, collects COD logs, and communicates with CSR/Sales/Customers/Drivers.
• Fleet: monitors DOT regulations, ensures PMs, coordinates repairs to stay compliant, assists with breakdowns, coordinates Smith Training for drivers.
• Operates power equipment, including forklift; may back up as driver when needed.
