Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily flow, storage, and inventory of clinical supplies on the Main Campus. You will work with the Value Analysis and Buyer teams to prevent shortages and ensure accurate perpetual inventory records across ERP/WMS systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in healthcare supply, and strong communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Supply Chain role or healthcare supply setting.
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Premier or Epic/Infor Lawson).
• Ability to utilize email, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leaders, team members and customers.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Coordinator manages the daily flow, storage, and inventory of clinical supplies. This position is critical to assure accurate and right-sized inventory in the hospital perpetual inventory account. This person works proactively, often working with their counterpart Coordinators, the Value Analysis team and the Buyer group, to disrupt any shortage of inventory. They also support physical inventory completion, cycle counts, expired item sweeps and general 5S practices as they relate to inventory management.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a Supply Chain role or healthcare supply setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Premier or Epic/Infor Lawson medical software)
• Ability to utilize email, inventory software, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate effectively with leaders, team members and customers
• Ability to lift medical supply boxes, stand and walk for long periods, and safely operate material handling equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION

Work will be performed in a hospital setting including supply warehouse, office area, and patient care areas. Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of the work day. May be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, and/or extreme heat and cold. Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend and sit regularly. Must be able to lift fifty plus (50+) pounds. May be required to work occasional weekend and irregular hours during high volume times. Will be required to respond during emergency situations such as weather events, etc. Minimal travel may be required to offsites.
