Qualifications

JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: MATERIALS MANAGEMENT
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 7a - 5p or 2p - 11p
POSITION SUMMARY

The Procedural Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining supplies in a specialty department or procedural area, and building relationships with staff members in that area. They manage supplier relationships, requisitioning supplies, equipment, services, and the processing of bill-only invoices and consignment requisitions. They manage inventory levels, ensure new products are properly reviewed prior to purchasing, ensure supply areas are kept clean and neat, eliminating expiring goods, processing returns, updating shelf labels to align with PAR optimization results, and ensure all computer software functions are operating appropriately to allow supplies and equipment to be available, and transactions are accurately recorded. The Procedural Coordinator will delegate responsibilities to Inventory Specialists assigned to their area(s), and form cohesive and trusting work relationships with their clinical counterpart team(s).

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supply chain, inventory management, or logistics experience, preferably within a hospital, surgical, or procedural environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • In-depth knowledge of products and equipment used in specialty area
  • Strong interpersonal communication, active problem-solving under fast-paced clinical pressure, and detailed organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with ERP/MMIS systems (such as Premier, Lawson, Epic, or PeopleSoft) and barcode scanning technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Understanding of clinical procedure processes
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION

Work will be performed in a hospital setting including supply warehouse, office area, and patient care areas. Must be able to stand and/or walk for the majority of the work day. May be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, and/or extreme heat and cold. Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend and sit regularly. Must be able to lift fifty plus (50+) pounds. May be required to work occasional weekend and irregular hours during high volume times. Will be required to respond during emergency situations such as weather events, etc. Minimal travel may be required to offsites.
