Top Metal Solutions is a growing metal fabrication company seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Coordinator to support our daily warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving operations.
This hands-on position combines warehouse organization, inventory control, shipping and receiving, forklift operation, and the daily coordination of a small warehouse team. The ideal candidate is bilingual, organized, safety-conscious, and experienced working with steel, fasteners, tools, and other materials used in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a team of approximately two to three employees while maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse.
This position will oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, distribution, and tracking of materials, tools, supplies, and finished products. The Warehouse Coordinator will also work closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Management to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory records remain accurate.
Coordinate and assign the daily activities of approximately two to three warehouse employees.
Receive, inspect, organize, store, and distribute materials, tools, supplies, and finished products.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments.
Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
Prepare materials and products for production, shipment, or internal distribution.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or incorrect deliveries.
Maintain proper identification, labeling, and storage of warehouse materials.
Organize and control steel, fasteners, welding consumables, coatings, tools, maintenance supplies, and other industrial materials.
Ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently based on size, weight, type, and frequency of use.
Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment with capacities ranging from approximately 6,000 to 35,000 pounds.
Coordinate loading and unloading activities while protecting employees, equipment, and materials.
Maintain an organized tool room and assist with the control, assignment, and return of company tools and equipment.
Support production by ensuring materials and tools are prepared and delivered on time.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse in accordance with company safety procedures.
Ensure team members follow proper lifting, loading, storage, and forklift safety practices.
Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, and maintenance needs to Management.
Complete other warehouse, inventory, shipping, and receiving duties as assigned.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Previous experience in warehouse coordination, inventory control, shipping and receiving, or a similar position.
Experience leading or coordinating a small warehouse team is strongly preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, or industrial environment is preferred.
Knowledge of steel, fasteners, welding supplies, tools, and industrial materials is required.
Experience operating forklifts and heavy material-handling equipment.
Ability to identify and safely handle materials of different sizes, weights, and specifications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
Ability to communicate clearly with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Management, vendors, and drivers.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
Ability to work around industrial equipment, forklifts, steel, and fabrication operations.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment.
