Job summary

K&M Tire is seeking a Warehouse Backup Driver in Vandalia, IL, responsible for loading/unloading tires, assisting the loader, and stocking inventory. The role operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment and supports Route Truck Driver I duties as needed.

This full-time position requires physical stamina, forklift and order picker operation, and a Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm schedule. Growth through internal promotions is available within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet job requirements of Route Truck Driver I.
• Able to operate safely a forklift, tire cart, pallet jack and order picker.

Responsibilities

• Unload semi-trailers and assist loader for trucks.
• Verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products using equipment daily.
• Keep tires/products in designated locations with tags and restock as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and assist in loading transfer trucks.
