Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team and represent us on every delivery. This role is based in the field, delivering to contractors and working with our warehouse team.

Typical day starts around 7:00 AM and ends around 4:30 PM, with generally no weekend work, depending on location. You will drive, unload, and maintain a high level of customer service while utilizing a moffett forklift.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Forklift experience with moffett.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• 1+ year of driving experience.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Strong customer service and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Front-line Lansing representative providing outstanding customer service.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse tasks.
• Use a moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites.
• Strive to improve service quality for Lansing customers.

A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver

HOME EVERY NIGHT!

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer... and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a 'get-the-job-done' kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
