Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver building materials and support warehouse operations. The role involves customer-facing deliveries, forklift usage, and maintaining clean, organized facilities.

Qualified candidates should have a CDL, a clean driving record, and forklift experience. You may lift items up to 70 pounds and work closely with crews at job sites, with most shifts ending around late afternoon.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Moffett forklift experience is required or preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement and acts as a Lansing representative.
• Provides outstanding customer service during deliveries and in the warehouse.
• Splits time between delivering materials and working in the yard/warehouse.
• Operates a Moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Interacts with customers and job-site crews to ensure satisfaction.
• Keeps the warehouse clean and orderly and supports inventory accuracy.
• May perform other duties such as cycle counts or inside sales as needed.

A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver’s day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a Moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer and constantly strives to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have Moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
