Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team and deliver building products to customers while representing our company on every job site.

The role starts early, typically around 7:00 AM, with a day ending around 4:30 PM and generally no weekend work. You will split time between deliveries and warehouse tasks, using a Moffett forklift, and you will contribute to outstanding customer service every day.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Moffett forklift certification and experience.
• One year of driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Experience with building products helpful.
• Strong customer service and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Live Lansing's mission and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operate a Moffett forklift during deliveries.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites.
• Provide excellent service to Lansing customers and strive to improve.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
• May perform cycle counts, inventory, or inside sales as needed.

A Day in the Life at Lansing: CDL Driver

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver’s day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location).

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a Moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer and constantly strives to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have Moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
