Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. is seeking a warehouse maintenance assistant in Rochelle, IL to support repairs and routine maintenance tasks across doors, dock equipment, pallets, and safety systems.

You will observe, learn, and perform tasks while following OSHA standards and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, math and data entry skills, and the ability to participate in HAZMAT training if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude required.
• Mathematical and documentation skills required.
• Basic computer skills including email, internet searches, and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Observe, learn, and assist with basic repairs and adjustments of warehouse equipment and systems in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Attend and participate in all assigned training sessions as directed.
• Clean, change, and lubricate machinery parts using appropriate tools and methods.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and shop areas in clean and operational condition.
• Conduct tests of safety equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and assist with answering security alarm calls as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties and keep work areas organized according to established standards.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
