Capstone Career Site in Tulsa, OK is looking for an Automation Engineer to support deployment, integration, and optimization of automated material handling and warehouse systems. You will partner with operations, IT, maintenance, and vendors to ensure systems operate safely, reliably, and in alignment with business needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, data flow, and SOP creation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
3–5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
Hands-on experience supporting automated material handling, robotics, or warehouse automation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Support end-to-end implementation of warehouse automation systems, including installation, testing, commissioning, and stabilization.
Provide technical support for integration with WMS, WCS, and WES platforms to ensure reliable system performance and data flow.
Troubleshoot automation system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
Monitor automationKPIs such as throughput, uptime, and accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials for site operators.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal system health and minimal downtime.
Participate in cross-functional project meetings and provide technical input to support timelines, budgets, and operational readiness.
