Job summary

Capstone Logistics, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to support deployment, integration, and optimization of automated material handling and warehouse automation systems on-site in Tulsa, OK. The role collaborates with operations, IT, maintenance, and vendors to ensure systems operate safely, reliably, and aligned with business needs.

You will implement end-to-end automation projects, integrate with WMS/WCS/WES, troubleshoot issues, monitor KPIs, and contribute to SOPs and training for site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related) required
• 3–5 years in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments
• Hands-on experience with automated material handling, robotics, or warehouse automation systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end implementation of warehouse automation, including installation, testing, commissioning, and stabilization
• Provide technical support for integration with WMS, WCS, and WES platforms to ensure reliable performance and data flow
• Troubleshoot automation system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, uptime, and accuracy; support continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs and training materials for site operators
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system health and minimal downtime
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide technical input on timelines, budgets, and readiness

JOB SUMMARY

The Automation Engineeris responsible forsupporting the deployment, integration, and ongoing optimization of automated material handling and warehouse automation systems. Qualifications

education and/or experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering(Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field),Masters degree is Preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, orlogisticsenvironments.
• Hands-on experience supporting automated material handling, robotics, or warehouse automation systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Working knowledge of warehouse automation systems and controls.
• Familiarity with WMS, WCS, and WES environments.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to spend extended periods walking or standing on the warehouse floor during system installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Frequent movement between operational areas, including climbing stairs, accessing elevated platforms, and inspecting automation equipment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, vest, and hard hat when on-site.
• Regular use of computers, diagnostic tools, and handheld devices for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
