Job summary

Covetus is seeking a skilled Automation & Warehouse Design engineer to lead the design and deployment of automated warehouse solutions. You will work from concept through commissioning, collaborating with project managers, fabrication teams, and plant personnel, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with OEM suppliers across the US, Europe, and India, tracking status, and providing post-deployment technical support.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse design and automation concepts.
• Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs, cobots and related robotics tech.
• Hands-on in application engineering and deployment of automation.
• Familiarity with WMS/WES/WCS and plant IT integration.
• Ability to interpret simulation results and inform design choices.

Responsibilities

• Design and re-design warehouses including capacity calculations and technology selection.
• Develop automation solutions from concept through commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and plant personnel.
• Ensure safety requirements and regulatory compliance in design.
• Define scope, cost estimates, schedules; manage projects to commitments.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers in US, Europe and India for automation systems.
• Track project status and support installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide technical support post-deployment.
