Job summary

Edward Don & Company is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, stock, prepare and ship merchandise for local and outlying areas. The role runs Sun-Thu 5:00pm-1:30am or finish, with occasional overtime.

You will operate forklift, pallet jack, and RF devices, lifting 40–60 lbs repeatedly, and ensure accurate picking and packaging. Ideal candidates have forklift certification, SAP familiarity, and at least 1 year of warehouse experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Select/pick merchandise from assigned slots and confirm quantity.

• Repack loose merchandise for shipping and delivery.
• Verify product quality and packaging compliance.
• Follow warehouse labor standards and report issues.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.

Essential Duties

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year warehouse experience and previous forklift certification.

Experience

• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience a plus.

Requirement

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
