Job summary

Edward Don & Company is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, stock, prepare and ship merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. Responsibilities include selecting merchandise from slots, confirming quantities, loading into trucks, repacking for shipping, and adhering to quality and safety standards.

The role requires forklift/pallet jack operation, ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly, and willingness to work Sun-Thu with up to 4 hours of OT daily in a full-time warehouse

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to operate forklift, pallet jack and RF devices.
• Forklift certification/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, prepare and ship merchandise to customers.
• Accurately select/pick merchandise and confirm quantities.
• Load merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Prepare items for shipment and repack as needed.
• Adhere to quality, safety and vendor compliance standards.
• Fulfill housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

$21.95/hour

Sun-Thu 11:00am - 8:00pm or finished, up to 4 hours/day OT mandatory

Summary

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, "Preferred Method Standard".
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The ideal Candidate will have ability to:

• Operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker.
• Lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift.
• Bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time.
• Successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements.
• Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
• This is a full-time position.
• Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
• Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.
• The position does not require travel.
