Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in Alameda, CA is hiring a Distribution Warehouse Associate II to support day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, replenishment, and inventory audits. You will supervise and train staff alongside the lead and supervisor, ensuring safety and accuracy in a fast-paced roasting plant and distribution center.

The role requires standing for 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, PIT certification, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and RF scanners/WMS use.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be able to work in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately in English.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, even on short notice.
• Proficient in safety procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform all warehouse activities: pick, pack, ship, receive, put-away, cycle count, inventory audit.
• Deliver and execute business initiatives from leadership.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries with transportation reps.
• Research inventory discrepancies for dock and transfers and PO receipts.
• Utilize MHE including pallet movers, forklifts, and order pickers.
• Use RF scanners to log warehouse activities.
• Conduct receiving and location audits and ensure proper documentation.
• Operate and monitor WMS for outbound, inbound, and inventory control.
• Communicate with lead/supervisor about performance and team needs.
• Support associate relations through pre-shift meetings and ongoing communication.
