Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated warehouse associate to join our Des Moines distribution team. You will receive, unload, inspect, stock, pick, pack, stage and ship merchandise with accuracy and speed, while ensuring documentation matches physical items.

You will operate RF scanners, voice-picking devices, and WMS to maintain precise inventory, handle returns and warranty materials, and keep work areas safe and organized per policy.

• Follow established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including lifting and handling merchandise.
• Learn warehouse systems, RF technology, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, sort, stock, pick, pack, stage, and ship merchandise accurately and efficiently.
• Match item numbers, quantities, manifests, freight bills, and shipping docs with merchandise.
• Process inbound shipments, outbound orders, returns, and vendor returns per policy.
• Operate RF scanners, handheld devices, voice-picking systems, and WMS as required.
• Store and retrieve merchandise from floor locations and racking systems.
• Load/unload trailers and route freight shipments; secure items from damage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through scanning, labeling, auditing, and discrepancy resolution.
• Rebox, relabel, sort, and prepare items for shipment or inventory placement.
• Follow hazardous material handling procedures and safety standards.
• Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with policies.
