Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate Heavy Lift in Canton, MI. The role involves assisting with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and distributing orders to sales staff for processing.

You will read orders and determine items to move or ship, while maintaining a safe warehouse environment and adhering to safety policies. Opportunities exist to participate in inventory counts and product assembly as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic English language proficiency to understand safety alerts, read labels and follow instructions.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and to load/unload trucks.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to written, verbal, or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities including unloading trucks and verifying orders.
• Read customer orders and shipping documents to determine items to move or ship.
• Ensure warehouse safety and accessibility for staff and customers.
• Complete tasks in a safe manner following policies and procedures.
• Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed.

18.50

Shift:

6 am - 3 pm, Tuesday - Saturday

What's the Job?

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic
• Complete work in a safe manner by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed

What's Needed?

• Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) to understand critical safety alerts, read warning labels, and follow real-time operational instructions
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds and to load and unload trucks
• Ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
