Job summary

Steelwrist is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of parts in our Newington, CT facility. The role emphasizes accurate inventory control, ERP-based processes, and safe forklift operation in a growing manufacturing environment.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to efficient material flow, daily warehouse tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory or material handling.
• Good forklift experience and safe material-handling practices.
• Experience working with ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems.
• Comfortable using computers, scanners, and other digital tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of parts and finished products.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Verify incoming and outgoing materials against orders, packing lists, and system information.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions and material movements in the ERP system.
• Support material flow to production and ensure parts are available where and when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
• Participate in inventory counts and help identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement and the development of more efficient, standardized, and digital warehouse processes.
