Job summary

Steelwrist is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our daily U.S. operations in Newington, CT. You will oversee Assembly, CNC Machining, and Warehouse, driving safe, high-quality production with a focus on continuous improvement and people development.

You will partner with the Production Manager to optimize capacity, schedule, and reporting, while promoting safety, ownership, and a collaborative culture across a growing manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, production, or related industrial setting.
• Previous supervisory, team lead, or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of daily production management, safety, quality, and workflow.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, machining/CNC, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems and digital production tools.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily work across Assembly, CNC Machining, and Warehouse.
• Set daily priorities for safe, efficient, high-quality execution.
• Coach, support, and develop employees with clear expectations.
• Monitor production performance, quality, delivery, staffing, and issues.
• Collaborate with Production Manager on capacity and planning.
• Drive continuous improvement, 5S, standardized work, and more efficient processes.
• Support implementation of digital tools, ERP processes, and improved reporting.
• Coordinate with quality, purchasing, order desk, support to maintain flow.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training of manufacturing staff.
• Promote safety, teamwork, ownership, problem solving.
