Job Description for Warehouse Associate at SSC

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Warehouse Associate position.

Location: TAMU - 600 Agronomy Road, College Station, TX 77843. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Valid driver's license required. Previous customer service and purchasing experience preferred. Forklift certification is preferred.

Pay Range: $14.00 to $17.50 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
2. Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
3. Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
4. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
5. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
6. Mark materials with identifying information.
7. Open bales, crates, and other containers.
8. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
9. Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
10. Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
11. Use computer to enter records.
12. Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
13. Drive vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
14. Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
15. Prepare parcels for mailing.
16. Maintain inventory records.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.
18. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
19. Commit to personal safety and that of others.
20. Abide by all company policies, including the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
