Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC in Florham Park, NJ is hiring a Material Handler I to receive, fill, and ship products precisely and efficiently. You will operate forklifts, scanners, and ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and safety in daily warehouse tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year related experience, forklift certification, and a commitment to OSHA safety standards. Shift is Mon-Fri 7am-5pm with some Saturdays; pay range is $17–$19 hourly.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Experience with picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• OSHA safety regulations and procedures knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) safely to locate, store, and move products; stock and replenish.
• Receive product by forklift or hand and unload from trucks.
• Inspect shipments for damage, verify quantities, and complete paperwork.
• Ensure bar code labels and stock numbers are readable and scanned correctly.
• Fill orders by picking, packing, and documenting in the system.
• Document hazardous materials shipments with proper labeling.
• Prepare orders for shipment, palletize and wrap; load onto trucks.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain certifications and safety practices per policy.
