Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Columbus, Ohio is hiring Temp to Hire Warehouse Associates. The role offers weekly pay, a first shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and opportunities to learn in a clean, organized facility.

Training is provided on the job, with safety gear supplied and a focus on safe, efficient operations. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and some related warehouse experience; forklift operation and PIT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and maintain battery and basic issues; intermediate required.
• Powered industrial truck certification required.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is completed correctly.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and ensure facility security at end of shift.
• Perform picking and packing duties and check for product damage.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions as required.
• Participate in team activities to improve warehouse operations and related functions.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
