Job summary

Summit Electric Supply in New Orleans, LA is hiring a Warehouse (Backup Driver) to support order fulfillment, inventory management, and occasional driver duties. You will receive in materials, pick orders, and assist in delivering products to customers while maintaining accuracy and safety.

The role offers opportunities to learn product knowledge and industry best practices, with a clear path to growth within Summit and the Sonepar group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Time management – able to organize multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written.
• Flexibility to adapt to change.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
• Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
• Receive and stock products daily to replenish inventory.
• Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.
• Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders.
• Maintain neat and clean warehouse and outside areas.
• Uphold safe work practices and safety standards.
• Provide backup for drivers and deliver to customer locations.
• Maintain vehicle, logs and inspections.
• Use iPad to review orders and collect signatures.
• Load and unload Summit trucks.
