Job summary

S \& S Firestone, Inc, headquartered in Lexington, KY, seeks a warehouse associate/backup driver to support multiple locations and a growing tire business in Nashville. This role involves manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs, and safe handling of equipment.

The position includes a M-F schedule, driving a 16'–28' box truck, customer deliveries, and participation in inventories. Benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and paid vacation and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift/move tires up to 150 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Forklift license is a plus.
• Good safety record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years).
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, check and tally tires for carriers and stage per bin locator system.
• Operate order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment; ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Provide excellent customer service and safely operate 16' to 28' box trucks for deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain driver/vehicle logs.
• Participate in inventories and maintain inventory records.

S&S Tire a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer is seeking to add a warehouse associate/backup driver. This position requires manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs.

Schedule: M-F 5:30a - 3:30p

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Receiver tasks

• Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
• Selects, packs, counts, marks, palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system.
• Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
• May Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Performs required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents.
• Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and policies

Driver Tasks

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Safely operate 16' to 28' box truck for delivery of products.
• Makes collections from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis.
• Makes list of prospective customers along the designated route to supply the Store Manager with sales follow up information.
• Ensures good mechanical operation of vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each work day and immediately report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
• Completes all driver and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested

• Must have the desire and ability to work in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistance
• Frequent bending, twisting and lifting
• Proper placement of received products in warehouse
• Proper placement of shipping products in warehouse
• Must be willing, and have the ability to, to operate all warehouse related equipment
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience
