Job summary

S&S Tire is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join the truck tire team at our Murfreesboro location. The role involves lifting tires up to 150 lbs, packing, and loading/unloading for multiple customers.

Qualifications

• Desire and ability to work in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift/move tires with/without assist.
• Frequent bending, twisting, lifting.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., order picker, pallet jacks).
• Valid driver's license in good standing; 1 year driving experience.
• Forklift license is a plus; keep safety in mind at all times.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, check, and tally tires for carriers.
• Select, pack, and palletize tires per bin system.
• Verify accuracy of tire orders and counts.
• Operate order picker and pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain safety standards while handling tires and equipment.
• Support inventory counts and proper stocking.

Description

S&S Tire, a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer and Commercial Tire Center is seeking to add a warehouse associate to our truck tire team. This position requires manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs.

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Receiver tasks - M-F 7am-4:30pm

• Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
• Selects, packs, counts, marks, palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system.
• Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
• May Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Performs required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents.
• Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and policies

Job Requirements:

• Must have the desire and ability to work in a warehouse environment
• Must be able to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistance
• Frequent bending, twisting and lifting
• Proper placement of received products in warehouse
• Proper placement of shipping products in warehouse
• Must be willing, and have the ability to, to operate all warehouse related equipment
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience
• Good safety record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years)
• Valid driver's license - in good standing
• Forklift license is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment
• Attention to detail
