Job summary

S&S Tire is hiring a warehouse associate/backup driver to support multi-location wholesale tire operations. The role involves manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs, and operating warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading tires, order picking, driving 16'–28' box trucks for deliveries, and collecting Cash on Delivery payments while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Overview

S&S Tire is a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer seeking to add a warehouse associate/backup driver. This position requires manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs. If you are ready to tackle this challenge, you need to apply today!

Duties

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Receiver Tasks

• Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers (trailer trucks).
• Selects, packs, counts, marks, and palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to the bin locator system.
• Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
• Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Performs required counting, tallying and marking on related inventory control documents.
• Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.
• Maintains compliance with procedures and policies.

Driver Tasks

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Safely operate 16' to 28' box trucks for delivery of products.
• Collect payments from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis.
• Develop a list of prospective customers along the designated route to supply the Store Manager with sales follow-up information.
• Ensure good mechanical operation of the vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each work day and report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Warehouse Manager or designee.
• Complete all driver and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
