Job summary

U.S. Lumber is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate to join our values-based team. You will load/unload, stage, and transport products using forklifts and other equipment while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Prior lumber experience is a plus, with opportunities to advance within SBP brands. We offer full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired; engineered lumber experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience preferred.
• Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks including loading/unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.
• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse workspace and proper location of goods.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and other employees to meet workload.
• Provide excellent service to customers with attention to detail and timely work.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track/trace issues.

Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate to join our VALUES based organization to responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse. Individuals in this position must work cooperatively with other Associates and productively with little supervision. Individuals must follow SBP's safetypolicies and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities and Essential Function

Safely operate forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders and transporting material.

• Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
• Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correctlocation and organized, swept floors.
• Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees inorder to complete required work load.
• Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention todetail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
• Follow SBP safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
• Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
• Must learn how to use a chainsaw and Holtec Industrial Saw
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Accurately pull daily orders.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Required credentials:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
