Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply in Spring Hill, KS is seeking a Warehouse Associate. You will load outbound trucks, unload inbound merchandise, stock materials, and prepare orders.

The schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and pay is $21/hour, with eligibility for a quarterly safety bonus. A forklift operation may be required after training; you must read and follow shipping papers, work in a team, and be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write for instructions and shipping papers.
• Analytical thinking to solve problems.
• Must pass forklift operators test after training.
• Team player aged 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound trucks and unload inbound merchandise.
• Stock inbound materials and pull customer orders from inventory.
• Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Follow safety rules and participate in inventory counts.

Position Summary

Loads outbound trucks, unloads and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.

Essential Functions

• Unloads materials from our customers' and suppliers' trucks.
• Put away or stock inbound materials.
• Pulls customers' orders from inventory on hand.
• Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
• Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
• Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
• Assist in counting inventory.
• Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily Followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
• Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
• Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

Knowledge of building materials a plus.
