Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rome, NY is seeking a production-lean worker to pack, label, and QC finished goods on a fast-paced line. You will use hand tools, read gauges, and assist with safe material handling to support efficient, high-quality output.

Shifts vary by orders and season, with hours from the day shift. Eligible associates enjoy full-time benefits starting day 1, and opportunities for overtime during peak demand periods.

Qualifications

• Packaging and labeling products for loading and distribution.
• Quality control of finished goods.
• Experience with hand tools and wrenches as needed for assembly.
• Ability to read measuring gauges and use tape measures.
• Communicate with team to maintain production quality and minimize waste.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation in work areas.

Job description

JOB DETAILS

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Shift: 7:0 0AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Site Address: 6168 State Route 233 Rome, NY 13440

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Packaging and labeling material for loading and distribution
• Responsible for quality control of finished products
• Working with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, screw guns
• Using measuring gauges and tape measures
• Communicate with team members to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Housekeeping and sanitation

Physical Stamina and Strength

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a perfered
• Experiance in a warehouse environment picking and pulling material perfered
• Experience with Forklifts perfered
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
