Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a Warehouse Associate at our Alvin, Texas location. Base pay is $16.75 per hour for 1st shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Duties include loading/unloading, operating a forklift and related equipment, and assisting with inventory management to support branch operations. Qualified candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to obtain forklift and overhead crane certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and products to support operations at the branch location.
• Operate a forklift, light manufacturing equipment, and construction tools as part of day-to-day duties.
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, and on time; assist co-workers and customers.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management including daily ERP updates.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Move inventory within and among workstations and areas.
• Comply with safety requirements and use PPE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Associates are responsible for loading and unloading materials and products to support operations at the branch location. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, light manufacturing equipment, and construction tools.

• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damageAssist co-workers and customers
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Acombination of education and experience may be qualifying
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane
