Job summary

InProduction is seeking a full-time Shipping/Materials Associate in the New York area. You will handle shipments, inspect products for defects, and assist with loading/unloading, basic fabrication, and on-site tasks as required.

The role requires forklift experience and a license; basic hand tools familiarity is a plus. Candidates must pass background and drug screening and may work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bi-lingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Forklift experience and license preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments by checking them physically.
• Check products for defects and accuracy.
• Pull, pack and ship finished goods.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle.
• Inspect machinery for maintenance needs and perform basic upkeep.
• Assist on local job-sites and with building/tearing down structures as needed.
• Some basic fabrication duties such as drilling and cutting.

This is a full time, direct hire position. We are looking for a team player! Candidates should be diligent, hardworking and have a positive attitude.

• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments by checking them physically
• Check products for defects and accuracy
• Pull, pack and ship finished goods
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and perform regular maintenance
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Pull orders from shelves, and then place and secure onto pallet
• Communicate with managers to identify equipment in need of maintenance
• Ensure appropriate safety measures are followed
• Make sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• May occasionally help on local job-sites (building and tearing down of structures and loading of trucks)
• Some basic fabrication duties such as drilling, cutting and other tasks.
• Other duties as required

Required license or certification:

• Forklift License Preferred
  

Education Requirements:

• High school or equivalent

Compensation:

• $19-$21 Hourly
• Overtime Pay

Requirements:

• Pass background check and drug screening requirements
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• Pay attention to detail and become familiar with industrial equipment
• Able to work overtime occasionally
• Able to read and understand safety instructions
• Forklift experience and license preferred
• Willing to complete forklift training preferred
• Experience with the loading and unloading of trucks preferred (flat-beds and/or trailers)
• Small engine repair and maintenance skills preferred but not required
• Stand continuously for long periods of time
• Able to repeatedly lift-up to 75Ibs
