Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help move products from receiving to delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where teamwork and reliability are valued.

You will package finished goods, stage items for loading, perform inventory counts, load and unload trucks, conduct quality checks, and operate pallet jacks with training provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime opportunities.

Qualificações

• Follow a given set of rules to arrange items in order.
• Must lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment proficiently.
• Read, speak, and write English fluently.
• Solid attendance history and reliable performance.
• Available to work extended hours.

Responsabilidades

• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling).
• Stage finished product for loading and check orders for delivery.
• Verify item counts and order accuracy.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and counts.
• Load finished product onto trucks and unload as needed.
• Ensure quality control and prevent damaged goods.
• Operate pallet jack per SOP and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
• Move inventory in and out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customer orders for delivery.
• Provide support for other warehouse departments.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (withOT)

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks.
• Perform on-the-job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.
