Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support efficient product flow from receiving to delivery in a fast-paced environment. The role involves packing, staging, loading, inventory tasks, and quality checks, with a schedule including extended hours.

You will operate pallet jacks, assist in training new staff, and help other departments as needed while maintaining accuracy and safety in all warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks under time constraints.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must lift heavy objects over 50 pounds and work physically demanding shifts.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products for shipping (shrink wrap, box, label).
• Stage finished products for loading.
• Check purchase orders/work orders for correct assembly and delivery readiness.
• Verify correct item counts.
• Assist with inventory levels and counts.
• Load finished products onto trucks and unload at designated areas.
• Ensure quality control and prevent damaged goods from shipment or storage.
• Operate pallet jack and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
• Move inventory into/out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customer orders for delivery.
• Provide fill-in support for other warehouse departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Friday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (with OT)

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks.
• Perform on-the-job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.
