Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in San Diego, CA to help move products efficiently from receiving to delivery. You will package items, prepare orders, and support inventory with a strong emphasis on quality control and safety.

The role requires ability to lift heavy objects, operate pallet jacks, and follow written or spoken instructions in English. Expect routine OT and a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Knowledge of warehouse environment, safety, and procedures.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling).
• Stage finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/work orders for correct assembly and delivery readiness.
• Verify correct item counts for orders.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and counts.
• Load finished product onto trucks and unload at destination.
• Ensure quality control and prevent damaged products from leaving the facility.
• Operate pallet jack per SOP and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement in/out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customer orders for delivery.
• Provide fill-in support for other warehouse departments.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (withOT)

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on palette jacks.
• Perform on-the-job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.
