Job summary

TW Metals, LLC is a global distributor of specialty metals and is seeking a Stock Clerk to maintain records of stocked material, count inventory, and post totals in Metalware. You will compare counts to records and investigate discrepancies.

Responsibilities include adjusting discrepancies, and assisting in other areas as needed. A GED or high school diploma, basic math, and MS Office skills are required; metals experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Experience in metals industry preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer or similar tool.

Responsibilities: Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties:

• Counts material in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
• Compares actual inventories to records in Metalware.
• Adjusts errors in computation or count and/or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
• Employees must be willing to assist in other areas of operations as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or One-year certificate from college or technical school
• Experience in metals industry is preferred
• Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
• Basic computer skills are necessary
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Willingness to learn mainframe program (internal computer system)
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring device
• Willingness to learn to operate forklift/side loader and such along with cutting equipment
• Knowledge of basic math skills
