Job summary

TW Metals, LLC is seeking an Operations employee to support warehouse activities across material handling, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. The role involves safe handling, accurate picking, and documentation in our ERP system.

The position requires basic math, measurement-reading skills, and a willingness to learn cutting equipment and powered industrial tools. A safety-focused mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare, stage, and organize materials for distribution.
• Pull materials from stock and fulfill sales orders accurately.
• Verify material specifications and record data in ERP/job tickets.
• Operate cutting equipment per work orders.
• Safely move materials using forklift and other equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Support other operations tasks as needed.

General Position Description:

Operations employee with a general focus on all operations activities.

Responsibilities:

Key tasks may include:

• Material Handling & Staging: Safely p repare, stage, and organize materials for distribution, including deburring, packing, receiving, and shipping.
• Order Fulfillment: Pull materials from stock and accurately fill sales orders.
• Verification & Documentation: Confirm material specifications, quality, quantity, dimensions, and tolerances; record information in ERP system or job tickets.
• Machine Operation: Operate cutting equipment such as Chop Saw, Band Saw, Plate Saw, Shear Machine, Waterjet, and Laser Machine to process materials per work orders.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, side loader, Combilift, overhead crane and order pickers) to move and stage materials.
• Quality & Safety: Follow all safety protocols and maintain quality standards during material handling and machine operation. Maintains a clean and well organized work area.
• General Operations Support: Assist with department clean-up, routine equipment checks, and other tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training required.
• Equipment & Machine Skills: Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment and cutting equipment.
• Measurement Skills: Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
• Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Technical Skills: Ability to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs with assistance while following all safety guidance.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
• Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
• PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes are required on a continuous basis, or as defined by the role needs or safety guidelines.
