Job summary

Aerotek in East Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inbound/outbound goods, pick/ship orders, and maintain a safe, organized stocking area in a dry, refrigerated environment.

The 3rd shift runs 11 pm–7 am; duties include operating RF scanners and reach trucks, following FIFO/FEFO, and reporting quality issues. This contract-to-hire role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanning systems and warehouse software.
• Trained in operating reach and hi-lo equipment.
• Understanding of FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation and safety rules.
• Ability to read pick lists and system-driven reports.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the flow of goods within the facility. This includes receiving and putting away inbound freight, picking and shipping customer orders, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained warehouse stocking area in compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away all inbound freight according to procedural standards.
• Pick and ship customer orders and 3PL items as per procedural standards.
• Distribute products to and from manufacturing.
• Perform FIFO/FEFO rotation.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse stocking area in accordance with safety rules.
• Receive and tag items in the warehouse with barcode labels, pallet tags, and allergen stickers.
• Ensure stocked items are organized, allergen-separated, and easily accessible.
• Inspect inventory for defects and damage and report findings to the Inventory Control Department.
• Report quality defects of ingredients to the Quality Control team.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 3rd shift from 11 pm to 7 am in dry, refrigerated, and freezer conditions. The role involves working near moving machinery, mechanical parts, and sometimes at heights. The environment may occasionally expose you to wet or humid conditions, temperature extremes, fumes, or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate. Products manufactured in the facility may contain peanuts, milk, and tree nuts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr.
