Job description

Warehouse Associate (Finance)

The Warehouse Associate helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

1. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
2. Pull inventory for shipments
3. Help ensure correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
4. Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
5. Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
6. Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
7. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
8. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment
9. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
10. Work in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
11. Load finished product onto truck
12. Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
13. Follow all safety regulations related to driving, vehicle checks, material handling, and customer site specifics
14. Interact professionally and positively with customers and the public
15. Counter sales to General Contractors
16. Use technology to manage the logistics process
17. Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus
• Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to do arithmetic accurately, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms
• Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands, and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequently lifts items weighing 25-50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Conditions include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, use of various tools, and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. Exposure to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
