Job Description: Inside Counter Sales, Customer Service & Warehouse Associate

Location: Valdosta, GA     Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary: Jones Welding and Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our team at our Valdosta location. This role combines counter sales, customer service, and warehouse responsibilities, providing an opportunity to engage directly with customers and support daily operations. We encourage proactive team players with a customer-first mindset and a strong work ethic to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Counter Sales & Customer Service: Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and technical support. Answer phones professionally, provide accurate information, and address customer needs. Process sales transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service.
2. Warehouse Duties: Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and organization. Operate a forklift to load/unload deliveries and move materials within the warehouse. Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
3. General Responsibilities: Collaborate with team members for smooth daily operations. Troubleshoot customer issues and escalate when necessary. Participate in product training and stay updated on industry trends. Perform additional duties to support team and company goals.

Qualifications: Prior welding knowledge is a significant advantage. Forklift experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills for order processing and inventory management. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
