AppleOne is seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Specialist for a contract-to-hire position in Altavista, VA. This Tier Level 2 packaging/inspection role suits candidates with manufacturing, production, packaging, or quality inspection experience.

You will inspect materials and products, label and package according to procedures, and maintain records. HS diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience preferred. Overnight shift with overtime after 40 hours applies.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Altavista, VA. This Tier Level 2 Packaging/Inspection role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, production, packaging, or quality inspection experience who are comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality and production standards.
• Label, package, and prepare products according to established procedures and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate production, packaging, inspection, and quality records.
• Follow GMP, clean-room, safety, and quality procedures as required.
• Support production operations by assisting with assigned manufacturing and packaging tasks.
• Identify quality concerns or process issues and report them to the appropriate team members.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $19 per hour.
• Job Type: Contract-to-hire.
• Location: Altavista, VA.
• Schedule: 12-hour overnight shift.
• Schedule Options: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience with GMP procedures or clean-room environments.
• Quality inspection experience in a production setting.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
