Job summary

D & L Farm and Home, Inc is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to perform transfers, load/unload forklifts, and maintain organized stock in our distribution center. You will support store transfers and ensure products are correctly prepared for shipping.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with forklift experience, good English communication, and a reliable work ethic. Scheduling is Mon/Wed/Fri 8 AM–5 PM, with benefits including retirement savings and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare transfers to be sent to stores.
• Ensure correct product pulled and loaded for transport.
• Load/unload vehicles using forklifts.
• Move stock in warehouse and organize inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and grounds.

Our Distribution Center is open Monday-Friday.

Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to the following list)

• Prepare transfers to be sent out to stores
• Ensure transfers have the correct product pulled and placed on/in truck/trailer
• Ensure load is secure for transit
• Un-strap products for stores after arrival with transfer
• Load/unload vehicles using forklifts
• Move stock/goods using forklifts in warehouses
• Equipment maintenance and inspection
• Keeps warehouse and surrounding grounds clean and tidy
• Help organize upstairs inventory when needed
• Help move feed around whether by hand or by forklift
• Completes any required training and education
• Receive in products using the wireless gun or manually checking in product
• Sorting products as being received to be transferred back out to stores
• Count inventory using wireless gun or manually with count sheet on weekly basis
• Any task that helps improve store’s satisfaction and transfer process
• Work Sales counter on occasion in Farrier Dept.

Preferred Skills & Job Requirements

• Agriculture knowledge equivalent to Horticulture, Farming/Ranching, Livestock or Pet
• Reading skills
• Verbal communication (English preferred) skills
• Forklift driving skills
• Self-motivated and disciplined
• 18 years of age or older
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• Able to lift and move loads up to 75-100 pounds
