Job summary

Hanoverdale Agway in Harrisburg is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to join our retail feed, lawn garden and pet store team. In this hands-on role you will handle inbound inventory, organize stock, and safely load heavy bags of product for customers during peak times.

You will operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, loaders, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, perform routine inventory checks, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and keep loading areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lb or more.
• Able to work in dusty/outdoor conditions.
• Strong attendance and teamwork.
• Basic reading/writing and customer service skills.
• Forklift experience preferred; training available to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of feed, seed, hay, lawn & garden and pet products.
• Stock pallets, shelves, and outdoor storage yards.
• Load heavy items into customer vehicles safely.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Perform routine inventory checks and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Keep warehouse, loading areas, dock, and parking area clean and organized.

This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

We are seeking a physically fit, hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our retail feed/lawn garden and pet store team. In this role, you will handle inbound inventory, organize farm supply stock, lawn and garden stock, pet products. Safely and kindly load heavy bags of product for our customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Unload delivery trucks containing feed, seed, hay, lawn and garden products, pet products, and an array of other supplies.
• Stock warehouse pallets, retail shelves, and outdoor storage yards efficiently.
• Load heavy bags of feed, blocks, salt, hay, pellets, and many other items directly into customer vehicles with care.
• Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, loaders, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
• Perform routine inventory checks and rotate product inventory to maintain freshness.
• Keep the warehouse, loading areas, dock, and parking area clean, safe, and organized.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to consistently lift, carry, and maneuver 50 and up throughout the day.
• Must be comfortable working in varying conditions such as dust, hay, and outdoor weather.
• Dependable attendance and a strong, team-oriented work ethic.
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills to assist customers and be polite and kind as the warehouse is the last experience our customers have when leaving the store.
• Previous forklift experience or warehouse background is highly valued, but we will train the right candidate.
