Job Description: Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored efficiently. Key duties include receiving, packing, and shipping orders, maintaining accurate records, and operating warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Processing Incoming Stock:
   • Unload and verify shipments, checking for damage or discrepancies.
   • Store goods in designated areas.
   • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs regularly.
2. Order Fulfillment:
   • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping.
   • Label and document orders accurately.
   • Load and secure goods for transport.
3. Inventory Management:
   • Maintain accurate inventory records.
   • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
   • Organize warehouse space properly.
4. Warehouse Operations:
   • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
   • Keep the work environment clean, safe, and organized.
   • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
5. Additional Duties:
   • Forklift certification is preferred; training available post-hire.
   • Participate in inventory counts and cycles.
   • Assist with product returns and store transfers.
   • Communicate with departments and vendors.
   • Deliver tires to retail locations and maintain the scrap tire program.
   • Support purchasing with computer tasks like payables and inventory.
   • Oversee online tire sales programs.
   • Assist personnel as needed.
