Job summary

Bailey’s in Colorado Springs is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support inventory control, packing, storage, and loading duties. You will organize items, prepare shipments, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds, attention to detail, and flexibility with hours. Prior warehouse experience is preferred and forklift certification is a plus. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, moving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming customer inventory, furniture, household goods, and packing supplies.
• Assist with loading and unloading moving trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Prepare, label, wrap, and stage customer items for storage, delivery, and transportation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and document the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Ensure customer belongings are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, loading areas, and storage facilities.
• Assist movers and drivers with assembling moving equipment and preparing shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts (if certified).
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Report damaged inventory, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Support warehouse security by ensuring storage areas are properly secured and monitored.
• Assist with packing, unpacking, furniture padding, and other moving-related services as needed.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, drivers, movers, and management to meet operational goals.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
