Bailey’s Consolidated in North Salt Lake, UT is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our full-time team. You will receive, inspect, and organize inventory, assist with loading and unloading moving trucks, and prepare items for storage, delivery, and transport.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, warehouse or logistics experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, a 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Prior warehouse, moving, logistics or inventory experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory, furniture, household goods, and packing supplies.
• Assist with loading and unloading moving trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Prepare, label, wrap, and stage items for storage, delivery, and transportation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and document movement of goods.
• Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with audits.
• Ensure customer belongings are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse and loading areas.
• Assist movers and drivers with assembling moving equipment and preparing shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts if certified).
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines; report issues promptly.

Salary Range: $19.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming customer inventory, furniture, household goods, and packing supplies.
• Assist with loading and unloading moving trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Prepare, label, wrap, and stage customer items for storage, delivery, and transportation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and document the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Ensure customer belongings are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Organize warehouse storage areas to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, loading areas, and storage facilities.
• Assist movers and drivers with assembling moving equipment and preparing shipments.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts (if certified).
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Report damaged inventory, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Support warehouse security by ensuring storage areas are properly secured and monitored.
• Assist with packing, unpacking, furniture padding, and other moving-related services as needed.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, drivers, movers, and management to meet operational goals.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, moving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy items.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
