Job summary

Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support receiving, storing, and shipping of materials in a fast-paced warehouse in Sparks, NV. You will help maintain accurate inventory, prepare shipping documents, and ensure safe, organized storage while complying with safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to lift up to 75 lbs. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and teamwork are

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lb), stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Flexibility to work in varying temperatures and environments.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and record quantities.
  • Organize and store products and materials in designated areas.
  • Pick and pack orders based on provided lists.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks with proper lifting techniques.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials.
  • Maintain a neat and organized warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
  • Collaborate with team to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance knowledge.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Keep records of all warehouse activities.
  • Support process improvements to optimize efficiency.

  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials for outgoing orders.
  • Maintain a neat and organized warehouse by arranging products and materials efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and warehouse operations.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Keep records of all warehouse activities, including incoming and outgoing shipments.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to consistently lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb in and out of containers
  • Ability to manually unload shipping containers by hand
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
