Aerotek in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Warehouse Administrator to handle high-volume small-package orders in a fast-paced warehouse. You will process paperwork, scan and advance orders, pack books and materials, and prepare boxes for shipment while meeting daily productivity and quality targets.

This on-site role requires use of scanners, label printers, and computer systems to manage orders. The position offers multiple shifts and is based in Minneapolis with competitive hourly pay.

Job Title: Warehouse Administrator

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately processing high volumes of small package orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will handle paperwork, scan and advance orders in the system, pack books and related materials, and prepare boxes for shipment while consistently meeting daily productivity and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review paper work orders for accuracy before processing.
• Scan each order using a handheld scan gun to update and advance orders through the warehouse system.
• Pack one or more books into shipping boxes, ensuring items are secure and properly arranged.
• Add appropriate packing paper or filler to protect contents during transit.
• Tape boxes securely shut to meet packaging and shipping standards.
• Print the correct shipping labels using a computer and label each box accurately.
• Maintain a consistent pace to process approximately 400 or more packages per day.
• Follow all established packaging processes, protocols, and quality standards.
• Inspect packaging materials and finished boxes to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Support kitting and filling activities as needed to complete customer orders.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe individual workstation throughout the shift.
• Communicate clearly in English to understand instructions, safety information, and process updates.
• Adhere to set break times and attendance expectations to support team productivity.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced packaging environment and consistently process 400+ packages per day.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use a computer to process orders, advance them through the system, and print shipping labels.
• Experience using a handheld scan gun or similar scanning device to manage orders.
• Hands-on experience with packaging, including packing, labeling, inspection, filling, and kitting.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift while working at an individual workstation.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, correct contents, and proper packaging.
• Reliability in following schedules, arriving on time, and completing full shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in packaging, kitting, or filling roles in a warehouse or production environment.
• Comfort working in repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality and speed.
• Ability to follow detailed processes and protocols for packaging and shipping.
• Motivation to meet or exceed productivity goals, such as packaging 500 or more orders during an 8-hour shift.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse setting with multiple shift options, including weekday day shifts (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), weekday night shifts (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), weekend day shifts (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), and weekend night shifts (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). You will work at your own individual workstation and are expected to stand for the duration of the shift; anti-fatigue mats are provided to increase comfort. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent use of scan guns, computers, and packaging equipment such as tape dispensers and label printers. Clear processes and protocols guide daily work, and adherence to scheduled breaks and shift times is an important part of the workplace culture.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
